We've got the Experience & Expertise

Formerly known as the Construction Federation Executive Pension Scheme, we have a long history of providing flexible pension arrangements and protection benefits to Employers in the Construction and related industries. Over the years we've learned to adapt to the ever-changing nature of the industry with a range of flexible options second to none.

In 2012 we rebranded as CERS and re designed our services to meet the changing needs of the membership so that we now offer an increased amount of Investment Fund choices, Lifestyling options and a new website offering online member access.

Flexible Approach

As it is important for us to meet the particular needs of each Employer and Member, we provide individual pensions solutions for each Member Company.

So depending on what you need we can offer a range of options - for example:

  • Normal retirement age can be between age 60 and 70
  • There are 7 investment funds to choose from including a default fund and lifestyling options.
  • There are no charges on transfers in or out of the Scheme.
  • You can choose from various levels of protection which can include benefits on death in service such as a lump sum benefit, a spouse’s/dependant’s pension and a children’s pension.

Independent Board of Trustees

CERS is a Master Trust with an Independent Trustee Company which offers an important additional layer of independent protection for employers and employees.  This removes the burden from Employers and provides peace of mind at no extra cost.

The Trustees actively keep themselves informed of investment developments through regular meetings with the investment managers and independent investment adviser and fulfil their Trustee Training requirements.

Members who select the default fund will be invested in the Multi Asset Fund until 7 years prior to a Member’s normal or stated retirement age. 10% will be automatically transferred to a combination of the cash and bond funds (75% cash and 25% bonds) in each of the last 7 years.

Members will be entitled to 4 free fund switches each year. Subsequent switches will incur a charge of €50 per switch.

Members Can Access Their Information Online

Everyone at CERS is committed to providing Members with greater access, flexibility and control of their own retirement savings. Members can securely access personal information which will include up to date account values, benefit statements and projection tools.

To login, Members complete a once-off registration where they will receive their new personal Online Services ID Number, and they will be asked to provide a new password for future logins.
